Titanics Wee Sister
21 May 20122012 is always going to be remembered among other things for being the Centenary of the Titanic disaster. Anyone who has visited the Titanic Quarter in Belfast will have been very impressed with the developments that have taken place there.
We at Corlin were keen to be connected with the works going on there and the recent contract we have secured there is a very exciting and interesting for the company. One of the less well known connections to Titanic is the SS Nomadic which was also built 100 years ago at Harland & Wolff and worked on by the same craftsmen who worked on Titanic. She was built to carry passengers out from the Port of Cherbourg in France to the great White Star Liners which were too big for the shallow waters of the Port. Indeed Nomadic is the last surviving White Star ship anywhere in the world.
Tracey Bros. in Enniskillen were awarded the main contract for the internal works which will involve the refurbishment of Nomadic to its former glory and we are delighted to be working with them on it. Corlin have a long standing relationship with Tracey Bros which we greatly value and these strong links and ability to work together will be vital on this type of project. We look forward to working closely with Consarc on this job too, who we have worked with on several occasions before.
This job will fit in well to our portfolio of Heritage projects and while very challenging we know our team will give every effort to bring the contract through successfully.
Delving Into New Waters With Lough
7 May 2012We are now about to commence our 2nd contract with Lough Construction of Glenavy. Corlin are also very interested in widening our base of Contractors and are very glad to be undertaking this venture. From originally doing a small bit of work in Belfast at Knockgowan House for Lough it is great now to have also secured the Painting works at the Storm Cinema in Naas.
Hopefully by providing a forst class service on the se projects will allow us to secure work with this company. Their level of repeat business and quality client base is something we like to identify with and we are committed to providing this service and making a very positive impression.
We wish Lough Construction success with these projects and we look forward to growing our business with them.
New Mc Canns Jobs Kicking Off
1 Apr 2012Corlin have always valued the relationship we have had with mc Cann Bros. of Fintona and we have worked successfully with them on several quality projects such as the Lough Erne Hotel & Golf Resort and Gortacharn Nursing Home.
3 recent contracts have been secured with Mc Canns which we are very glad to get and look forward to working successfully with them on. They all vary from the refurbishment of St. Marys Church in Killybegs to the new GAA Centre for Tyrone in Garvaghey and the new Community Hub in Dundalk. The works through each varies and covers the full extent of our Painting and Fire Protection.
We look forward to working with the Mc Canns teams on these and we wish them much success with each project. These are another example of a company working the best they can through these difficult times and offering a bit of hope for improvement in the near future.
Corlin Get The Call From MAC
23 Jan 2012We always like to establish working relations with new customers and Corlin were glad to be awarded the Painting contracts on 2 BT office projects in Dublin from MAC Interiors of Newry. The projects are significant refurbishments of existing premises with a nice bit of Painting & Decorating involved.
Both projects are progressing well under Norman Sproule and his team and we have enjoyed working with MAC on these jobs. They seem to be a very progressive company and its nice to see a company picking up various Contracts during such recessionary times.
We look forward to the completion of these projects and we look forward to hopefully continuing the relationship with MAC in the coming months and years.
