Works Completed at St. Marys Church Haddington Road
2 Dec 2011To secure the re-decoration package at St Marys Church was great and we at Corlin are delighted to announce the completion of our works. The Church situated in the Lansdowne Road area of Dublin is a beautiful and historic building and the refurbishment works look very impressive. We are very pleased with the feedback we have got from the Parish and the Design Team on the quality of the decoration.
Richard Irelands expertise again was very valuable in this project and his specification and the finish using the Colortrend material turned out extremely well. The Church is well worth a visit to see how it has turned out.
With a fairly tight programme the job was a challenging one which Norman Sproule, Barney Doherty and their team worked very successfully to meet.
The Design Team and the Main Contractor Francis Haughey Construction were very good to work with and we thank them for their co-operation at all times. Hopefully we can all work together again at some time in the future.
Corlins Ongoing Relationship with Felix O’Hare
17 Nov 2011The relationship we have established with Felix O’ HAre Ltd from Newry has been a steadily strengthening one and continues to develop. We have always found them a very professional firm to work with and we hope that they have a positive view on the quality of work they receive from Corlin.
Following on from projects like the Iveagh Centre and Church House in Belfast we are pleased to have secured several new projects with Felix O’Hare. These were at the Community Centre in Gilford, St. Josephs PS in Madden, Co. Armagh, the North West Independant Hospital in Ballykelly and most recently a new Phase at the very impressive Church House.
All these contracts are greatly appreciated and we would like to thank Damian Gill and all the QS;s and Foremen that we work with for all their co-operation and assistance.
We wish Felix O’Hares continued success and we look forward to strengthening our links and to continued work in 2012.
St Marys Progressing Well
21 Sep 2011Further to securing this contract Corlin started on site at St Marys Church, Haddington Road, Dublin in late August. Working closely with the design team and Francis Haughey Construction good progress is being made on the project, particularly in terms of the painting of the ceiling.
This will be a challenging job with some very interesting obstacles to be cleared to have the Church completed in time for Advent. The Foreman Barney and his team are very experienced in this type of work and we are fully confident in their ability to meet the challenges.
A Chance for Business to Mushroom
20 Sep 2011Corlin were delighted to have been awarded the opportunity to do some work on behalf of Monaghan Mushrooms recently in Co. Mayo. It was our hope that we could provide the type of quality service that could lead to further opportunities with this very progressive organisation.
Our next venture with them now has started on site this week at a new facility in the South West of England. Again the client can count on our full co-operation to provide the quality Painting job that they require.
We wish them much success with this facility and look forward to developing our working relationship with them.
New Project Commences with GRAHAM
1 Sep 2011Memories of student days come back with one of the new projects we have started in Belfast. The job at the Queens Elms Student Accommodation conjures up the thoughts of socialising around the Queens area and what was the Elms Bar at one time. But back to the work Corlin are glad to renew relations with GRAHAM Construction, now based in Hillsborough, for this project which involves extensive Painting to new Student Accommodation.
The Painting of the Belfast City Hall was the last notable project that Corlin worked with GRAHAM on which was a very prestigious one for both companies and all who worked on it.
We look forward to providing a quality job and to working closely with the GRAHAM site team and to being young and foolish again some day.
Another Successful Venture with Belfast City Council
27 Jul 2011Our relations with the City Council in Belfast go back to our job at the City Hall for Graham a few yeas ago. From that we have worked at the Ulster Hall for Graham and been able to maintain the contact with the Council and we formed a very good working relationship with Sam Graham from the Council and his team.
We were delighted to have been awarded the latest contract at the Ulster Hall working directly for the Council. When you know the client this way and know how Sam works it gives you confidence that the project will be run successfully. Again the highest standards of finish were required and we are glad to say that the project was indeed completed to meet these expectations.
Liam Mc Crory, Corlins Contracts Manager said that ‘the professionalism and attitude of the Council and Sam in particular were a great help in the running of the job’. Corlin would like to thank Belfast City Council for awarding us this contract and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
St. Marys Church, Haddington Road, Dublin
12 Jul 2011We were intrigued when we got a request from Richard Ireland to take an initial look at the new Painting & Decorating package coming up at this Church in Dublin. Anyone who has visited our web site before will be aware of the dealings we have had with Richard in Ireland and of the high esteem in which we hold his work.
The Church was the beautiful St. Marys on Dublins Haddington Road close to the historically significant Beggars Bush. We were very glad to get the opportunity to quote for the extensive cleaning and internal re-decoration of the Church. A lot of time was put into getting the price right due to the scale of the job and the very high quality finishes that we know are required on any project where Richard is involved. There is a very large amount of gilding required adding to the complexity of the job. Corlin are delighted to confirm that we have been awarded the contract working as a nominated Sub-Contractor to Francis Haughey Construction of County Armagh and we look forward to commencing the works in August 2011.
This is our first time working with Francis Haughey Construction and we look forward to a co-operative and fruitful project for both companies.
Again this is the type of project that Corlin really want to be associated with and we will give great attention to ensure that the Parish and local Diocese are left with a very impressive end product worthy of their superb Church.
New British Mainland Project with Gilbert Ash
1 Jul 2011The days when companies can just satisfy themselves with working solely in Ireland seem to be at an end. Corlin like a lot of others are increasingly quoting for work on the British mainland.
Gilbert Ash who Corlin have a business connection with for many years have been picking up projects in England and Scotland and we are pleased to have secured the Painting & Decorating package on their Travelodge site in Morecambe. They are a valued client of Corlins and we look forward to a successful job working with Gilbert Ash.
It is a sign of the times that companies are travelling greater distances for work but it is good when long standing relations can still be maintained for these more distant projects.
New Vacancies Due to Seucred Projects
18 May 2011Corlin have secured a few new projects in the past couple of days and are glad to announce that these have now created a few vacancies for site work. We would welcome applications for qualified Painters & Decorators for direct employment.
We would also be keen to talk with Painting Sub-Contractors who may be interested in these projects.
Interested parties can either download an application form from our web site or call our Reception at the telephone number listed on this site.
Corlin Tee Off at Mount Juliet
12 May 2011Following the completion of the Censure House project in Dublin Corlin are delighted to be able to continue their working relationship with Quinn Reddin of Carlow. We have picked up the contract with them now for the decoration of several houses on the Mount Juliet Estate, County Kilkenny world famous for its Golf Course.
Asw ith Censure House the quality standards demanded on this project will be of the very highest level and this is very much the type of work that we at Corlin feel we specialise in and want to be involved with. We look forward to a successful project with Quinn Reddin.
